In February we went to Wetherby Race Course on Friday 13th to Sunday 15th, the Valentine’s weekend. Carol and Malc were the hosts, making for a great funpacked weekend. There were 30 vans over the weekend, of which 22 were from Yorkshire, 4 were from Northern Counties, 3 were from The Lakes and 1 from South West Wales. There was a theme for the Valentine’s weekend of Red or Pink. You could Wear it, Eat it, Drink it or Decorate your table with those colours.
Friday night was filled with Quizes, and Bingo. Saturday evening, being Valentine’s Day was the games night with an amazing Mr and Mrs game. We had more than 10 couples participating giving us so many laughs. Each couple were asked how long they had been together, many were cheered as they spoke of the magnificent length of time that they had been together.
Questions like ‘ who snores the most?’ Who has the most clothes? And who spends the most money? Are examples of some of the questions that they had to answer by showing the paddle with either his/her or me side. When both had the same answer they won a point. The couple who had the same answers to the most questions were Christina Stephens and husband Graham
To round the weekend off there was a coffee morning on Sunday with Valentine buns baked specially by Carol. Yes they were as good as they look , everyone enjoyed them and sat chatting with their friends before heading off home
