This was hosted by our Rally Officer Chris Stephens, assisted by Steve Joyce with parking up. We had 17 vans from Yorkshire and one from East Midlands. Friday night started off in the room with quizzes and bingo but due to the heat we resumed outside for a music quiz.
Saturday saw a few members go on the scenic Settle o Carlisle railway trip, others enjoyed the walk around quiz. The Flower Pot Festival started on Saturday and many members enjoyed walking around town and enjoying the brilliant artistic and funny themed flower pots.
On Saturday evening we had the quizzes outside, then a music quiz inside and a few stayed for the England World Cup game.
Sunday, again the weather was lovely, so we had the coffee morning outside and afterwards a few members joined Malcolm Collins for a lovely walk following the river and finishing up in town for refreshments – some chose coffee, some went to the pub (it was quite hot).
There was an Artisan market in the square which members vistied and enjoyed – buying an assortment of goodies. Sunday afternoon we played the Ladder Game thanks to David Robinson for always having it in his van – very good entertainment for a few hours. Thanks to everyone for making the weekend go so well.
