The below information is to give some reason / background as to why the items have now been included within the proposed Yorkshire Supplement.
• Size of the committee – it was felt that co-ordination would be more effective with 12 rather than 17
• Committee ballot – felt that better democracy would be achieved by ballot paper rather than show of hands
• Committee staying on for 3 years – will encourage continuity
• AGM advanced notice to be increased – to better inform the membership
• Advanced viewing of the documentation – to ensure the membership has more time to digest and understand the content
• AGM agenda – to ensure there is a shared understanding of the agenda and expectations
• Business proposals advanced notice – to ensure these can be investigated appropriately and allow all the relevant info to be available
• Members meeting proposals in advance – to ensure these can be investigated appropriately and allow all the relevant info to be available
• Finance – to have approx. half of the money held in an account that is earning interest, which allows the value to keep up with inflation
• Committee 2 free nights – this is a thank you to the hard work put in by the committee, and is actually less than the previous option of a free rally for all committee on committee run rallies
• Rally Booklet – the previous booklets were too quickly out of date, the website should be where the most recent detail can be found. A printed sheet can be provided for anyone that cannot access the website
• Committee meetings – using video calls increases the ability of getting the committee together
• Not using personal emails and phone numbers – By not advertising personal details gives better data protection for our committee
• Bookable rallies – up to now all the rallies have been filled, even though some have dropped out for personal reasons, their places have been filled with the reserve list due to better communication from the members
• Food Hygiene – Thank you to those committee members that have completed the food hygiene courses
• Code of conduct for rallygoers – mainly unchanged, but reference now to the ability to take dogs into public bars where the bar allows well behaved dogs
• Sample notice and ballot papers – just to ensure continuity
