2026 Jun – Malton

June already and we were in the month of the longest daylight days.
After setting up the rally field at Malton, Dot, Simon and Eoin prepared to greet our ralliers upon arrival. They started coming in at a steady pace and discovered that there were 6 visitors from our neighbours Northern Counties and 1 from East Anglia.
After everyone had settled in and had their tea, and some liquid refreshment, we gathered around the hosts van for a welcome meet and a social chat. After a while it got a bit cold so people retired to their vans.
On Saturday morning people started appearing and most headed into town for the Festival and in the evening spent time catching up with friends around their own vans.
We had 3 more vans arrive during the day which was a nice increase in our gathering.
On Sunday people who were leaving said their goodbyes. The remainder of us had a boules competition which was won by Dot!! The ladders game was also played which people enjoyed. The day was ended by continuing the social.
Tuesday morning saw the closure of the rally and we said our goodbyes until next time. Many thanks to Dot and Simon Botham for their help, and to Eoin Dugdale for being the Rally host it was greatly appreciated.
