Attended by 7 Yorkshire, 2 Northern Counties and 1 East Midlands
We had a welcome meeting on the Friday afternoon, highlighting all the places to go and places to see, and the various travel options. Members were also offered a 10% voucher for dining in the pub.
Friday night was curry night in the pub, followed by a karaoke … not sure there will be anyone moving on to a career in the pop industry.
On Saturday nearly all went into York, many walking or cycling the 2 miles or so on the foot/cycle path direct into York. There were also some attendees at the local brewery.
On Saturday night it was a Steak night, followed by entertainment from a fantastic local singer called Finley, who has just recently appeared in ‘Britains Got Talent’ on the TV, and managed to reach the semi-finals.
On Sunday some went home, but the rest either went into York again, or for a walk around the local lake. A Sunday Roast in the pub was also a favourite.
