The Hosts for this rally were Steve and Caroline Joyce assisted by Gill and Steve Aggett with the parking up and booking in.
Because of limited space 30 vans were booked in and all arrived on the Friday ready for a 4 night rally.
The breakdown of vans was 24 from Yorkshire, 2 East Midlands, 3 Northern Counties and 1 from West Wessex being a first timer with the Yorkshire Group.
We had use of the room on Friday, Saturday and Monday. Friday was an evening of dingbats, music quiz and quite a difficult but enjoyable quiz.
Saturday morning about a dozen members went on a walk organised and led by Malcolm Collins – stopping at the lovely cake café and of course, ending in the The Rose PH. The weather was kind to us
Saturday night again was well attended and bingo, dingbats and quizzes were enjoyed.
Sunday night was the quiz held by the Recreation Ground and a few members participated but unfortunately no winners from our lot but a good amount of money was raised for the cricket team to buy new equipment.
Monday was coffee morning with biscuits – again the weather was kind to us, Monday afternoon another walk attended by a few members – unfortunately the café was closed but fortunately the pub wasn’t
Monday was a quiet evening with a music quiz and dingbats.
