2026 Jun – Pateley Bridge

Hosts Caroline and Steve Joyce gave everyone a warm welcome as they arrived on Friday. There were 2 first time ralliers and 20 vans in total. The sun was out and folks sat about chilling and taking in the lovely views all around. There was a fish and chip shop a walkable distance from the site and many brought back their tea from it.

Later in the evening many headed to the local pub, The Crown Inn. It had a great atmosphere and we had a laugh with the staff. The hosts joined us later for a few drinks and the dogs had treats too.

On Saturday many walked into the village. There was a dog friendly café that did a great breakfast and after another walk round, and bumping into many others from the rally, some ended up having a few drinks before heading back to the rally field where a cricket match had started. We got our chairs out and watched the game. Just got back to the vans after the match when the heavens opened and the wind got up. Skylights open so some wet vans and one damaged canopy leg.

Another local, the Royal Oak pub had a singer on and the England football match.

On Sunday morning there was a coffee morning. Paul thanked Caroline and Steve for hosting the rally and talked about our upcoming rallies. The weekend ended with the rain returning.

We are always so grateful to our hosts for giving us a great weekend.
